A house the size of a coffin. What is the true value of living in 1.4 square meters?
It already exists in Asia under different names. The phenomenon of "coffin houses" is gradually becoming a state of normality in which the human being loses the right to live, transforming instead into a production machine that is stacked and stored, while simultaneously the value of vital space continually rises.
The irony reaches its peak when the grave enters the comparison. In countries like Greece, which has some of the most expensive cemeteries in Europe, the cost of purchasing a family grave often exceeds the value of an apartment in Athens.
The questions that arise:
· Do we work to live or to buy our own death?
· Is the life we are living already a grave?
· How much must a person work and save to buy the absolute minimum just to merely survive?
· Has life turned into a living death, at a time when even conventional death is a privilege?
· Are 1.4 square meters enough, not just to exist within, but even to breathe?
